Field trip to PG county urban stream known for its Paleogene 58-55 mya marine fossils, particularly Cucullaea gigantea internal molds and occasional small shark teeth.
Walk in an urban stream and collect fossils.
Be aware of poison ivy and broken glass, wear mud clothes, boots or waders and something to carry out fossils and a sifter for shark teeth.
Small site open to first 10 Natural History Society of Maryland Fossil Club members.
Cost $10 to NHSM Fossil Club members.
