Outdoors Maryland Watch Party featuring NHSM

Open to the Public Special Event

Maryland Public Television is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its award-winning original series “Outdoors Maryland” – and NHSM is part of the line-up!
This season’s finale airs on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and you’ll see some familiar faces and places. In their segment called “Nature’s Archivists,” NHSM’s own botanist Charlie Davis and Entomology Curator James Young give a tour of NHSM’s “cabinet of curiosities” containing ancient arthropods, rare butterflies, and century-old pressed plants. Viewers then join society members on a fossil hunting expedition in western Maryland and end up in a Baltimore County classroom using the fossils as teaching tools.
Want to watch it together with us, from the comfort of your own home? RSVP here and a Zoom link will be sent to you.
