Discover Maryland Tour at the Maryland Center for History & Culture (Archaeology Club)
Archaeology Club has organized a Discover Maryland tour at the Maryland Center for History and Culture. The MD Center for History and Culture is a statewide resource headquartered in the heart of Baltimore’s Mount Vernon. The museum features more than 1,000 objects on display in 15 permanent and rotating exhibition galleries. Their library houses 7 million books, documents, manuscripts, and photographs available for research and scholarship.
About the Tour: Who are Marylanders, why are they so obsessed with their flag, and what does duckpin bowling have to do with the Baltimore Orioles? Explore the answers to these questions and how Maryland and its people have changed since its founding in 1634. For traveling visitors and lifelong Marylanders, this guided experience of the Discover Maryland exhibition shows there is much to uncover about Maryland.
Members will meet at 10:45am to gather for the 11 am tour. The tour will be from 11-11:45am and then members may visit the museum at their leisure after the tour until 4:00pm.
Masks are required for the tour inside the museum.
This is a rain or shine indoor event.
