Most of us feel better after a walk outdoors or at the sight of something beautiful in nature. Dr. Heidi Schreiber-Pan has studied extensively the connection between our well-being and nature and will discuss how nature impacts human resilience and overall mental health, and the role of nature exposure in adult and children’s well-being. Dr. Schreiber-Pan  is the clinical director at Chesapeake Mental Health and is an affiliate faculty member at Loyola University and received her PhD in Counseling Psychology. She is founder of the  Center for Nature Informed Therapy. She is passionate about helping people integrate nature, spirituality and neuroscience into effective mental health practices. Dr. Schreiber-Pan founded the Center for Nature Informed Therapy, where she guides people into natural settings to connect with nature and enjoy the consequent healing effects.
Heidi Schreiber-Pan  is a successful psychotherapist, author, clinical director and sought-after nationwide speaker on topics of resilience, anxiety, neuroscience, and occupational burnout. She is the founder and clinical director of the Chesapeake Mental Health Collaborative, based near Baltimore, Maryland. As a former affiliate faculty member at Loyola University, Maryland, she conducted research in the field of resiliency and psychological well-being which has informed her clinical work extensively. Dr. Schreiber-Pan has worked with numerous organizations to increase organizational well-being through training in positive psychology as well as emotional intelligence coaching. Heidi is the author of the popular self-help book “Taming the Anxious Mind: A guidebook to anxiety and stress relief”Heidi lives with her husband, two boys and her loveable dog Koda, in Baltimore county. The family spends most of their free time enjoying the outdoors; mostly hiking and camping throughout the U.S
