Guided Canoe Trip on the Gunpowder, Hammerman Area

Join us for a recreational paddle Sunday, April 29, on the Gunpowder River guided by biologist and naturalist, Nick Spero, and accompanied by BAC Venturing Crew 2727. Spend nearly 2 ½ leisurely hours on the water observing wildlife and identifying plant life. Nick will help point out wild edibles, osprey, and hopefully eagles! A brief safety presentation will take prior to the sail.

DATE: Sunday April 29, 2018

TIME: 10AM until approximately 1:30PM

LOCATION: Gunpowder State Park, Hammerman area (see directions below)

LEVEL: Beginner

AGES: 10 and up. Youth must be accompanied by an adult

LIMIT: 15 people

SUPPLIES:  Canoes and PFD’s will be provided but we suggest you bring sunscreen, a hat that covers your ears, water, a light snack, and shoes that can get wet.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If necessary, cancellation due to inclement weather will be announced 24 hours prior to event. Please check your email, texts, and Facebook. We will make every effort to contact anyone who registered for the event.

DIRECTIONS: Hammerman Area (beach) – From I-95 take exit 67A for Route 43 east (White Marsh Boulevard). Follow 43 to Route 40 east. Turn right at the first light onto Ebenezer Road and follow it for 4.5 miles. The park entrance will be on your left. The physical address is 7200 Graces Quarters, Middle River, MD 21220.
